Presently, while rumors may be spreading from popular blogs such as AppleInsider, I don’t suspect it’s much of a threat to Flash yet. Currently, Gianduia is entirely JavaScript based. However Apple is working on their JavaScript replacement, and that’s when things may start to shift. It’s not clear why Apple hates flash, but the current Gianduia they are using for their retail Site Genius bar is pretty groovy.
Have you experienced Gianduia or another new Apple software? Post in the comments below! I think Apple is smart not to put the Adobe shit on their devices. Adobe flash and reader are nothing but crapware full of every security exploit known to man. Every time there’s a hack-a-thon guess what… the way into the device is through a frickin adobe exploit. +1 for apple on this one. Get the fck away from reader! I hope microsoft does the same thing soon! It’s time for flash to die! That being said, you can save documents in XPS format now in Office 2010 by default but Microsoft OS and IE is probably the only thing that can read it. And in regards to FLASH – Microsoft released Silverlight. Silverlight has been more successful than XPS (thanks to Netflix) but it still has a long way to go. So, Apple is not alone in trying to kill adobe. It’s just 1 more nail in the coffin for Adobe. Also HTML5 looks very promising, just look at what Google did with it in their Voice webapp and youtube. 4 me i use Foxit reader but now u cant install it without installing the f**king ASK bar Comment Name * Email *
