According to the Microsoft support page, this update fixes issues with the Microsoft Edge browser, formerly Project Spartan, from crashing. It also fixes problem with the Start menu not displaying correctly when running apps or games in full-screen mode. And then the apps crashing when hitting Alt+Tab. So if you’ve had either of those issues with your installation of Windows 10, let us know if this update has fixed the problem, or if the update has caused something else to go wrong....

Windows 7 automatically reserves a set amount of space for the Recycle Bin on your hard drive based on the size of the disk. If you don’t empty it manually or via Disk Cleanup regularly, there’s a lot of wasted space. Right click on the Recycle Bin and select Properties. Select your local drive if you have more than one. Check Custom Size and type in the amount of space you want the Recycle Bin to use....

Why are My Files Recoverable After I Delete Them? The “delete” operation in Windows only removes bits of information from files so they appear deleted in OS. It is easy to retrieve those files using recovery software. Deleting files just marks the space the file takes up on your drive as reusable. When I picked my Nexus 7 up this morning, I saw the following message letting me know that the update was available. Tap More Info to get a look at the new features the update will bring to your tablet. Some notable new features are a new keyboard with what Google is calling Gesture Typing – basically its version of Swype. Multiple user accounts that gives each user their own customized experience....

The first devices to get the update, according to the post, are the UMTS/GSM Nexus S, the HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus devices, as well as Motorola’s Xoom Wi-Fi tablet. This leaves the LTE versions of the Nexus and Nexus S out of the loop on this update for now. They’re both running 4.0 at the moment. If you don’t have one of these tablets, don’t despair. Enter in a phrase and shortcut, then tap Save. Test the new keyboard shortcut by creating an email or text Message. Then type the shortcut text you created. In my example, typing irl will display the phrase I’m running late. A savings of 13 characters which unfortunately I use way to often....

Just tap on a word to highlight it, then tap Define. The built in dictionary will come up with the word’s definition. The Define feature works in any app that has selectable text. Here I’m using it in the Wikipedia app. Here’s an example of using it on the CNN app. The iPad has a larger display, so the Dictionary pops up the definition on the same page. It’s different on the iPhone and iPod touch....

First, go to File » Options » Advanced. Under the Outlook Start and Exit section check Empty Deleted Items Folders When Exiting Outlook. Click OK. Now every time you close out of Outlook, you’ll get a message verifying you want to permanently delete all items. Click Yes to keep the folder cleaned out.
