I encountered this error message a couple of weeks ago while taking photos on my iPhone. Of course, this is good news for Apple, who would be more than happy to increase my monthly bill for more iCloud storage; but it’s bad news for me. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind giving Apple more cash if they had a more seamless web and Windows experience. Unfortunately, I find the entire Apple online ecosystem just way too clunky and confusing....

Motorola is jumping on the new smartphone announcement bandwagon with Apple, Nokia, Samsung and a host of other mobile companies. Recently Nokia announced two new smartphones and Apple’s iPhone 5 will also come out in a matter of days, as it has an official release date. The strange thing is that Motorola’s new smartphones are not running Jelly Bean, the latest installment of Google’s mobile operating system – Motorola Mobility is owned by Google, after all, so I’d expect them to get all the juicy new updates first....

I recently reported some details about the Nokia Lumia 920, the company’s future flagship device. It seems that great technology and wireless charging isn’t everything Lumia devices will bring. Nokia officially announced the new music streaming service which is aimed at US customers. The Nokia Music service will let you listen to 150 playlists on their Lumia smartphones. Z Launcher from Nokia for Android Nokia’s Z Launcher plans on completely changing the way you interact with your Android device and make it easier and faster to access what you want. Nokia says the launcher is optimized to work on select devices including — Nexus 5, Galaxy S5, S4, S3, Moto X, HTC One and Sony Xperia Z1. Optimized is subjective though. Change Outlook 2013 Ribbon View Open one of the Office 2013 programs and click the arrow icon at the upper right side of the ribbon (next to the Minimize and Maximize buttons). This will give you the Ribbon Display Options. Now you can select Auto-hide, Show Tabs, or Show Tabs and Commands – which is the default Ribbon view. Here’s an example of only displaying tabs on the Ribbon. Once you click a tab, all of the options will display until you’re done and it will switch to tabs only again....

First, click on System Preferences from the dock. In System Preferences, Click Dock under the Personal section. Check the Minimize windows into application icon Box. Now when you click the yellow dot in the corner of a window, it will minimize to the application’s icon in the dock instead of taking up more space next to the trash icon. A few months back Google Added Revision History for Google Documents and today Google announced revision history is now available in Google Spreadsheets as well. After playing with the new feature, I have to admit they did a fabulous job. Changes made by collaborators are grouped together in batches and color coded. You can review the revisions easily cell-by-cell. For people like me, this is a big deal since I collaborate in Google Spreadsheets all day to manage the workflow for articles up here on groovyPost....

Sync IE 11 Tabs in Windows 8.1 Update: Support for Windows 8.1 from Microsoft is coming to an end: Update 2: Microsoft is ending support for Internet Explorer 11 next year. It will be removed from Windows 10 and Windows 11. From the Start screen, just type: sync settings and select Sync Settings under the results. On the next screen, select Sync Settings again. Transferring large quantities of data between drives in XP and Vista is slow. But Windows 7 has improved the transfer speeds compared to earlier versions. Still, my favorite utility for this job is TeraCopy. It moves multiple files easily in an organized way. First, download and install TeraCopy. It’s free for personal use. The Novatel MiFi isn’t the first wireless hotspot device to be available on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Over a month ago the Samsung SCH-LC11 came out, and it offered speeds around 12Mbps download and 5Mbps upload. Seattle has been able to consistently get 15Mbps download on the Samsung however we hear the Novatel does slightly better. The 4510L boasts speeds of 20Mbps down and 7Mbps up, and it offers more device management settings....
