Windows 10 Preview Build 17107 Microsoft is introducing a change to the behavior of Windows Update in this build to prevent PCs from becoming out of date. Now, when Windows Update goes into action, if the computer is plugged in, it will prevent it from going to sleep until the full update process has completed. “When Windows Update scans, downloads, and installs on a PC with AC power – it will prevent the PC from going to sleep when it is not in active use, for up to 2 hours when receiving an update in order to give Windows Update more opportunity to succeed,” writes Dona Sarkar....

What’s Changed in Twitter’s Privacy Policy? A lot of changes have been made to the privacy policy, but there are three key changes to point out. More data sharing. Twitter is changing the way it shares data with what the company refers to as “partners” but what it really means is advertisers. “We’ve updated how we share non-personal, aggregated, and device-level data, including through some select partnership agreements that allow the data to be linked to your name, email, or other personal information – but only when you give your consent to those partners” the company writes in its blog post about its data sharing policy....

Here’s a look at what you can do with Cortana and some tips for getting the most from the desktop assistant. Enable Hey Cortana The ‘Hey Cortana” feature lets you activate it by voice and engage by speaking to your PC. However, it’s not enabled by default. Twitter has decided to file a lawsuit in a San Francisco federal court against companies behind some of the most “popular” spam tools for the microblogging service. The companies owning TweetAttacks, TweetAdder and TweetBuddy will have some defending to do. And so will James Lucero (justinlover.info) and Garland Harris (troption.com). The lawsuit says that some of those companies have done things like offering software that helps spammers be more effective....
