Microsoft has not updated the software in any significant way for well over a year. With the release of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, it is clear that, even with Microsoft’s much-anticipated move away from the Zune brand, the critical components of the software will live in the Metro apps Store, Video, and Music apps. Make sure Remote Desktop is turned on before using it to connect between machines. First, click the Remote Desktop Tile on the Metro Start screen. Then Remote Desktop starts up. You can type in the IP address of the machine you want to connect to in the field at the bottom of the screen and click Connect. There are also a couple of other options. At the time of this writing, the Yahoo Mail app is still listed in the Windows Store but says, “Yahoo Mail is currently not available.” Also, according to OnMSFT, “a large number of users have begun reporting on Twitter that the app has already stopped working for them,” which suggests the company has already started the process of shutting it down....

Extract Images from PDF It actually couldn’t be easier. Open the PDF document from which you want images extracted. Then go to View » Tools » Document Processing on Adobe Acrobat Pro’s toolbar. Now you’ll see a menu opening up on the right side of your Acrobat Pro window. In that menu, click Export All Images. A window will pop up, allowing you to decide where you want the pictures saved....
